Ja Morant got himself in trouble when he started an Instagram live stream from the nightclub. Morant was seen brandishing with what looked like a handgun while his friends were drinking and partying around him. The video went viral quickly as Morant has over 9 million subscribers on Instagram.
The Glendale Police Department released a statement and confirmed that they were aware of the IG video and launched an investigation into the same. The NBA has also confirmed they will carry out an internal investigation into the incident and Morant could be hit with further penalties if found to have breached NBA rules.
Morant has released a statement and apologized for his actions, stating that he must find better ways of dealing with his stress. He has also decided to step away from the game for a bit to get his life together.
