at Serena Williams, considered by many to be the greatest female player in the history of tennis has given birth to her second child. Williams along with her husband Alexis Ohanian announced the birth of their second daughter Adira River Ohanian via social media.
Williams Unlikely To Return To Tennis Anytime Soon
Serena Williams who is a 23-time Grand Slam champion dominated women’s tennis for many years. Her reign at the top faded once she decided to start a family and have her first child. Her comeback after becoming a mother did not work out as well as she would have expected and fans expected her to announce her retirement and leave the game.
However, Williams did not retire and continued to play on as she was keen to win one more Grand Slam and tie the record for the most Grand Slams wins by a female tennis player which is currently held by Australian great Margaret Court.
With the birth of her second child, Serena who will turn 42 in September is unlikely to return to competitive tennis anytime soon! Williams who is also a successful businesswoman told fans in 2022 that she is slowly moving away from the game of tennis!
