Colorado football fans were treated to a great game of football over the weekend as the Colorado Buffaloes and Colorado State Rams played each other. It turned out to be a very competitive game with the Buffaloes getting the win with a 43-35 scoreline.
Blackburn Tackle Results In Death Threats
During the game, Henry Blackburn from the Rams made a very rash tackle against Buffaloes star player Travis Hunter who went down in a heap. Hunter was later hospitalized and released on Sep 18 while Blackburn was penalized for unnecessary roughness.
Buffaloe’s fans were not happy with the tackle and the backlash ended up getting too intimidating as Colorado State reported that Blackburn and his family received death threats. The police were informed of the death threats and are now offering support and protection to Blackburn and his family.
NFL legend Deion Sanders who is the head coach of the University of Colorado condemned the death threats and said he hoped none of their fans were behind these threats. Sanders pointed out that he gets death threats on a weekly basis but said death threats should never be directed to a kid!
