at Coco Gauff who is just 19 years of age put on a fantastic performance on home soil at the 2023 US Open when she ended up crushing Jelena Ostapenko 6-0, 6-2 on Sep 05. Her win will see her advance to the semi-final of the US Open.
Gauff Focuses On Winning Her First Grand Slam

Coco Gauff has made it to a grand slam final before but has come up on the losing side. She is yet to win a Grand Slam and would love to do it in front of her home crowd who love to cheer her on. This is the first time since 2001 since an American teenager has made it to the semi-finals of the US Open.
The last teen to make it to the US Open semi-final was tennis great Serena Williams. Gauff played down her win and said that her focus right now is to make it to the finals and lift the trophy!
Gauff had a poor run at 2023 Wimbledon after being eliminated in the first round but she has found form since then and has now won 16 out of her last 17 matches. Gauff will take on the 10th seed Karolina Muchova in the semi-final.
