Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather will fly to the UK to compete in another exhibition boxing match and entertain fans at the O2 Arena in Feb. Mayweather Jr. is set to box Geordie Show star Aaron Chalmers on Feb 25.
Mayweather Continues To Entertain Fans
Mayweather retired from professional boxing in 2017 after his fight with MMA star Connor McGregor. Since then, Mayweather has entertained fans around the world by engaging in exhibition boxing matches around the world.
Mayweather has fought in Japan, Miami and most recently Dubai. He was initially set to fight Liam Harrison, a Muay Thai star in London but Harrison had to withdraw due to an injury. Mayweather was keen to fight in Feb at the O2 arena and his camp was able to get a replacement opponent on short notice.
Aaron Chalmers is best known for his role in Geordie Shore. Chalmers is also a professional MMA fighter with a 5-2 record and fights for Bellator, the second most popular MMA promotion in the world after the UFC.
Chalmers says he jumped at the opportunity to step in on short notice and face Floyd Mayweather and is keen on making a name for himself in the world of boxing!
