at Georgian MMA Star Ilia Topuria is set to headline his first UFC fight night card on 24 June when he takes on former featherweight title challenger Josh Emmett. Topuria who is ranked 9th in the featherweight rankings is looking to make a push for the title with an impressive win over 5th ranked Emmett.
Topuria No Longer Interested In Paddy Pimblett
Topuria and UK MMA star Paddy Pimblett have engaged in war of words on social media and during UFC media events in the past. There was talk last year of a potential fight between Pimblett and Topuria but it does not seem on the cards any longer.
Topuria told media during his UFC press day that he is no longer interested in fighting Pimblett who is currently out of action. Topuria told the media that Paddy is not a ranked fighter and someone who is only interested in the media to gain attention. Topuria says it does nothing for his career to push for a fight with Paddy anymore.
Paddy Pimblett lost the respect of MMA fans and his popularity took a nose dive after his last fight with Jared Gordon which he won by a very controversial decision.
