UFC 295 will be headlined by a much anticipated fight in the heavyweight division as champ Jon Jones takes on former champ Stipe Miocic at Madison Square Garden (MSG), New York on Nov 11.
Jones who is the MMA greatest of all time (GOAT) will make his first title defense at heavyweight when he takes on Miocic who Jones considers to be the UFC heavyweight GOAT. Lots of fans think that this will be an easy fight for Jones as Miocic is 41 years old and has not fought in the Octagon for over 30 months.
Jones Could Retire After Miocic Fight
Jones has always had Miocic on his radar and has hinted in the past that after his fight with the former champ, he could walk away from the post. Jones opened up about his MMA future recently on the OverDogs podcast when he said that at 36 years of age, he only wants to accept fights with those who have a big name in the sport.
Apart from Miocic, there are no other big names in the heavyweight division and Jones has stated he isn’t very interested in fighting upcoming and talented fighters like Tom Aspinall and Sergei Pavlovich. UFC 295 could be the very last time we see the GOAT Jon Jones fight!
