Milan Lucic was one of the top players in the NHL a decade ago and ended up helping the Boston Bruins win the Stanley Cup back in 2007. Lucic went on to win the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in 2007.
Over the last few years, Lucic has played for a number of NHL teams including the Calgary Flames and the Edmonton Oilers. He returned to the Bruins in 2007 and was expected to finish out his career with the Bruins.
Lucic Arrested And Charged Over Assault
Lucic was arrested on 18 Nov after he returned home drunk and assaulted his wife Brittany Carnegie because he was unable to find his cell phone. She called the police and later told them that her husband assaulted her, pulled her hair and told her she was not going anywhere.
The police arrested Lucic over assault and battery which carries a 2.5 year max prison term. Lucic entered the Boston Municipal Court on Nov 21 and entered a not guilty plea. He has also taken an indefinite leave of absence from the Boston Bruins. His pre-trial hearing will take place on Jan 19, 2024.
