Hardcore boxing fans waited a number of years to a fight between WBC heavyweight champ Tyson Fury and fellow Brit Anthony Joshua who held the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight championships twice during 2017 to 2021.
However the fight between the two never materialized due to both camps not being able to agree with the terms and conditions of the fight. It now appears that this fight will not take place as Fury has confirmed he is no longer interested in fighting Joshua.
Fury Not Interested In Fighting Bum Joshua
Tyson ‘the Gypsy King’ Fury is currently preparing for an ‘entertaining boxing’ fight against former UFC heavyweight champ Francis Ngannou who has never had a professional boxing match in his life. The two will fight in Saudi Arabia on Oct 28 and both fighters are expected to collect a big check.
Fury has already confirmed that his next fight will be against current WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champ Oleksandr Usyk who beat Joshua twice – the first time to win the belts and the second time to defend the belts. This fight could take place in late Dec or early 2024.
Fury said Joshua is a bum who has now suffered three losses and this fight no longer interests him!
